The (in)complete landscape of AI + Travel
Every AI company we could find in travel, on one map

Something different today
We've been building a map of every company we can find using AI to build for the travel industry. Today we're launching it: the (in)complete landscape of AI + Travel.
Why (in)complete? Because it will never be finished, and that's the point. The objective is an always up-to-date map of the full ecosystem. Companies launch, raise, pivot and shut down every week, so the map only stays true if it keeps moving. What you're seeing is a snapshot, not a final word.
As of the latest update (21 October), the map holds 171 companies, across six sectors: Accommodation, Tours, activities and destinations, Corporate travel and events, Flights and aviation, Cross-sector, and Consumer. Seven rings run across all of them, each one a job to be done, from AI visibility and discovery at the centre out to customer service and sales at the edge. The counts reflect our own research, not the whole market.
It is built for finding things: every company sits in one sector and one job ring, so you can go straight to the corner of travel you care about and see who is building there.
The whole thing

One cross splits the four big sectors, a fifth wedge holds the companies that serve several, and consumer gets its own slice, lifted out of the corporate quadrant. Each ring is a job to be done and runs across every sector, so the same job shows up in hotels, tours, flights and corporate alike. Solid outlines are vendor-confirmed or qualified; dashed are unverified or borderline.
Placements are provisional and built from public sources. A company being on the map is not an endorsement, a partnership or a ranking. It's a filing system.
Accommodation, the biggest slice

71 companies, from hotels to short-term rentals, and the most mature corner of the map. The outer rings are the dense ones: revenue, pricing and data (Lighthouse, Duetto, IDeaS, BEONx) sits a ring away from customer service and sales (HiJiffy, chatlyn, Canary), and the big incumbents are here too: Oracle Hospitality, Mews, Cloudbeds, Guesty.
Tours, activities and destinations
30 companies, with the weight in planning and personalisation: tools like Tripian, Nezasa and MindDMC, built for operators who never had enterprise software. The outer rings here are still thin on our map: we found fewer companies doing those jobs in this sector. If we've missed one, tell us and we'll add it.
Corporate, flights and the rest
Corporate travel and events is thin at 8, with SAP Concur the lone incumbent beside Navan, Perk and friends. Flights and aviation is the sparsest slice at 6, which honestly says as much about our sources as it does about the sector. The cross-sector wedge holds 32, the plumbing layer, from Mize and Sojern to WeGuide AI.
Consumer: the B2C warriors
And consumer is bigger than most people expect at 25, almost all of it trip planning: Mindtrip, Layla, Wanderlog and the rest.
Are we missing anyone? Probably. Almost definitely.
This map gets less "(in)" every time the industry helps. The way in, plus one favour:
Not on the map but should be? List yourself in the official directory. Head to EverythingAIinTravel.com, hit "Log in or sign up" at the top right, and use the code TC100 at checkout.
Know someone who's missing? Send this their way. The fastest way onto the map is a nudge from someone already reading.
